- Classic, standard Basic colors (no letters in color number), 65% polyester, 35% nylon
The basic metallic colors (no letter in the color numbers) are the softest. The colors with letters in the color numbers may be slightly thicker or slightly stiffer.
- IN FLY FISHING: Use for bodies on small flies.
- IN NEEDLEWORK: Ideal for cross stitch on 16-count or 18-count Aida. Some stitchers also like using it on 14-count Aida for a light metallic look. We recommend a #22 or #24 Tapestry needle. Use in any stitch in an embroidery or fiber art design. In needlepoint, use it to string beads (especially translucent beads so the metallic sheen shows through), to couch thicker threads, or to create light details on top of stitches.
- IN WEAVING: Sett 48 epi.
- IN CROCHET & KNITTING: lace weight, light fingering weight. Needle/hook sizes vary depending on project.
- CARE: Very Fine #4 Braid is hand and machine washable; tumble dry on low. Do not iron directly onto the metallic; use a press cloth. Note: some colors like red may bleed, so we recommend testing a swatch before washing your entire project.
